FAST FRIDAY FOR FIRSTBORNS
FRIDAY 5TH NOVEMBER 2021
THEME: THE KEYS OF DAVID
TEXT: ISAIAH 22:22 “And I will place on his shoulder the key of the house of David. He shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.”
Blessings beloved parent-intercessors. Welcome to the first Friday in the 11th month of year 2021. GOD our Father is so good and mindful of our children and what better way to start the month and season than being equipped by the LORD with keys that connote and control power and authority.
Spiritual keys control the Kingdom of GOD because GOD is a Spirit. Every kingdom has a key that is used to operate in it and the Kingdom of our Father is not exempt from this principle. And so today, it has pleased the LORD to empower His sanctified ones (our firstborns and by extension our other children) by handing them Spiritual and life keys.
The word “Keys” (kleis in the Greek) means power and authority. GOD has keys for each of our firstborns and by extension our other children. Without GOD’s power, without Kingdom authority, we or our children will never be granted access into places/realms/rooms/thrones/seats at the table that have previously been closed to us or denied us or that we need to access at certain points in time. There is nothing more frustrating than needing access yet not having it because the access rests with someone else and GOD help you if the door keeper is not well disposed to opening such a door to you. There is good news today because every key is with our LORD JESUS CHRIST and He can grant access to our children and today, His desire is even to empower our firstborns with the keys they need in life.
The keys of David are keys to Governmental control and authority and this means that Father GOD wants to enthrone more Davids, children after His own heart who will do His bidding and go for Him without fear of the adversary. Today, our prayer is that as we present our children before Abba for this role, they will be found to be a perfect fit for the Father by mercy.
According to Pat Shatzline, there are 7keys to our door of authority. We want to pray these 7keys into the lives and destinies of our firstborns and by extension our other children. These 7keys were very evident in David’s life and we pray that these keys will also find a permanent abode in our children’s lives-Amen:
1. Repentance
2.Developing a Prayer life
3.Living in GOD’s presence
4.Studying the word of GOD
5.Growing in Faith
6.Walking in boldness
7.Being a giver
Let us also meditate on the following scriptures and be spurred to pray:
Matthew 16:18-19 “And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your GOD is with you wherever you go.”
Pray:
LORD, give to my firstborn and by extension my other children the keys to the kingdom.
LORD, lay on my children the keys of David that command power and authority. May my children be empowered to bind and loose, thereby gaining victory per time to the glory of Your name.
Father, like Peter, cause my firstborn and by extension my other children to become the ones who wield the scepter of Your authority. Build Your Kingdom, lives, destinies, businesses, Ministries, and nations through my children. Grant my children master keys that are able to open and close in the different spheres of life.
Father, I pray that there will be signs and my children will be bold and courageous to open doors that You want opened. Grant them the boldness to open, shut and lock at Your command per time.
Beloved parent intercessors, in Acts 5:23 scripture says, “We found the prison house locked quite securely and the guards standing at the doors; but when we had opened up, we found no one inside.”
My prayer today as we engage the Father for the sakes of our children is that every child will be released from doors locking them in, they will be released into their full destinies in GOD and they are released into gaining access to all doors (of power and authority in GOD) that will move them to their next levels in life per time when they are due for such in the name of JESUS CHRIST, no longer will any prison door be able to deny access to our children. Amen.
To our duty posts beloved parent-intercessors. May the LORD heed us as we seek His face with our prayers and fasting today Amen. Please remember to pray in the spirit as well as in your understanding as you meditate on and pray with these scriptures. Let us soak ourselves and all that the LORD has committed to us in these life-giving words.
