FAST FRIDAY FOR FIRSTBORNS FRIDAY 9TH SEPTEMBER 2022 THEME: SENSITIVITY TO HOLY SPIRIT PROMPTS TEXT: ROMANS 8:14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of GOD, they are the sons [and daughters] of GOD.”
Beloved parent-intercessors, welcome to the second week of prayers in September. This month has been declared our Month of the Holy Spirit and I pray today that we and our children will give even more room to the operations of the Spirit of the Living GOD in us Amen.
Last week, we prayed to the LORD and asked that our children would be filled with the Holy Spirit. It is good to be filled with the Spirit of GOD but it is equally important to yield to the promptings, directions and instructions that come from that infilling. Hence, today, we are asking and praying to the Father through His Son that our firstborns and by extension our other children would be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s prompts, desires and instructions.
Being sensitive to the Holy Spirit means our children will love, yield to, glorify, magnify and obey the Father and the Son more than self.
Hence, we want to ask the LORD today:
Father, Son, by Your Spirit, help my firstborn and by extension my other children to see what You see, and to feel what You feel per time. Help my children to be on the same page with You always.
Father, Son, by Your Spirit, cause my children to have a great hunger for the Presence of the Holy Spirit.
Father, Son, by Your Spirit, help my children to develop a deep sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.Cause them to have an intimate relationship with Him.
Father, Son, by Your Spirit, help my children to be alert and sensitive to the shifts in the Spirit. Help them to always be plugged into the Spirit, expectant, positioned and ready to adjust to the moves of the Holy Spirit.
Father, Son, by Your Spirit,help my children grow daily in sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.
Father, Son, by Your Spirit, help my children foster a deep love and relationship with the Holy Spirit so they may live in accordance with the Spirit and have their minds set on what the Spirit desires per time. (See Romans 8:5)
Father, Son, by Your Spirit, help my firstborn and by extension my other children to live aware and be constantly in touch with the Holy Spirit. Help them beyond themselves. Let their hearts and lifestyles be compatible with and in alignment and harmony with the Holy Spirit per time.
Father, Son, by Your Spirit, cause my children to have a true love relationship with the Holy Spirit; one in which they would not desire to go against the Holy Spirit or do anything that would bring Him hurt or displeasure.
Father, Son, by Your Spirit, cause my children to live a life of holiness, purity of heart and a lifestyle that would not grieve the Spirit.
Father, Son, by Your Spirit, cause my children to respond to Holy Spirit’s prompts in obedience.
Father, Son, by Your Spirit, help my children to daily become more responsive to the Holy Spirit, and more sensitive to His leadings, prompts and desires. Help them grow in their experience of responding to Him. Cause their sensitivity to the Holy Spirit to increase day by day. May they never refuse to respond to Him, or ignore Him, may their sensitivity to the Holy Spirit not become dulled in the name of JESUS CHRIST.
Father, Son, by Your Spirit, I ask today for grace for my children to respond to the Spirit’s lightest touch and be sensitive to His desires. May my children not pull against or disobey the Holy Spirit.
Amen and Amen.
