Welcome to the month of April! This month by the grace of GOD is our anniversary month on the word parfait platform. Yaay!!! Come the 18th day of this month, we will be rolling out the drums for what GOD has done in the course of one year! This month, we will sit back and analyze how far GOD has brought us on this journey since the blog began. Please do ensure that you watch out for the freebies we would be giving out as we celebrate this feat enabled by GOD.

Today, we would be encouraging one another regarding our obedience to GOD’s instructions to us. By obedience, I am referring to prompt, timely and total obedience. Let me point out that sometimes the type of obedience required of us could be sacrificial. Our true obedience to GOD requires that we submit to GOD’s authority even when it is not palatable to us. Scripture tells us in 1 Samuel 15:22b that our obedience is better than our sacrifice. This means GOD loves it when we show our trust and faith in Him via our obedience.

Our obedience also to constituted authority over our lives also matter and is something to be prioritized. Your father, mother, husband, boss, pastor or spiritual heads, government, teacher and others whom GOD has put as forms of authority over you are not to be trivialized either because there is a blessing that comes to one when one is properly aligned in submission and obedience to constituted authority because as scripture says in the Amplified Version of Romans 13:1, “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from GOD[granted by His permission and sanction], and those which exist have been put in place by GOD.”

Obedience to GOD is key! Obedience gives one access to approval and acceptance! Disobedience on the other hand leads to rejection and disapproval!

Child of GOD, what are GOD’s instructions to and for you? Are you keeping watch on another’s instructions or man’s instruction for you? Don’t jump ahead of GOD! Not storing up the word of GOD in our hearts can lead one to the lane of tragedy and mistakes in the sojourn of life. Do not ignore the word and instruction of GOD!When you study the word, use it as a mirror, let itbe a check where you allow it access into your inner heart, let it highlight for you any area(s) of amends and let it do its work in your inner recess.

Disobedience results in a life of decline but we can always retrace our steps back to GOD in humility and with true repentance. Have you been disobedient? Have I been disobedient? O that today we would listen for His voice and not harden our hearts! It is never too late to make amends! It is never too late to make it right with GOD! The prodigal son came to a realization of the error of his ways and he humbled himself to make amends. Today, may your heart and mine be touched as we look inwards with a view to living right with the Father in the area of our obedience to Him.

Obedience to GOD is a way of blessing and it has its many joys! Instructions from GOD do not have to make sense to you and I when He gives them, they only need to make sense to Him! My prayer for you and I is that our obedience will be complete at the end of the age. I pray that the Father will show us areas of non-compliance in our walk with Him and grant us grace to make amends, Amen and Amen!
