FAST FRIDAY FOR FIRSTBORNS FRIDAY 11TH NOVEMBER 2022 THEME: GUIDANCE BY AND INTO THE WORD OF TRUTH TEXT: JOHN 17:17 AMPC “Sanctify them [purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] by the Truth; Your Word is Truth.”
Welcome to the second Friday in November. We give thanks and praise to GOD for His hand of protection over us and very specially our firstborns and by extension our other children.
Words are powerful. With words, we can navigate the journey of life. Words can bring hope alive and give needed encouragement per time and in the same vein, it can be so hurtful. Our children need to be hearing and interfacing with the right words per time. The word of GOD is that which can guide them into all truth!
So we want to pray today that at every juncture of life, our firstborns and by extension our other children will be guided by the Word of Truth and not only that, the Word of Truth they seek and desire will become their blueprint for living.
Let us meditate on and pray with the following scriptures:
John 8:31-32 “So JESUS said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you abide in My word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Psalm 86:11 “Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name.”
Ephesians 6:14 “Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,”
Psalm 25:5 “Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the GOD of my salvation; for You I wait all the day long.”
Psalm 43:3 “Send out Your light and Your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your dwelling!”
Let us Pray:
• That our firstborns and by extension our other children will abide in GOD’s word, thereby causing them to know and recognise the word of truth and live by it.
• That our children will be taught the way of truth by the Holy Spirit, by us their parents and by other godly leaders and influences.
• That the the belt of truth will always be on our children, from their core would emanate only truth, spearheaded by the Word of Truth.
• Father, lead my children in Your truth.Teach them Your word and Your ways. May they always receive guidance from You.
• That the light and truth of GOD will shine on the life path of our children leading and bringing them to GOD’s destined plan for them Amen.
To your duty posts beloved parent-intercessors. May the Father hear and heed our requests this day and always because we have asked according to His word and in the name of His Son, our LORD JESUS CHRIST Amen.
