FAST FRIDAY FOR FIRSTBORNS FRIDAY 18TH FEBRUARY 2022 THEME: GOD-ARMORED RELATIONSHIPS TEXT: EPHESIANS 6:10-18
A blessed day to us all dear mums and dads and parent-intercessors in CHRIST. I trust we’ve all had a great week so far. Indeed, our GOD is good and HE is worthy of our praises! Another working week is done and we give GOD all the praise Halleluyah!
Its another Fast Friday today, a time of fasting and prayers for our first-borns, we shall be focusing our prayers on scriptures according to the letter of Paul to the Ephesians 6:10-18. Please take time to read, meditate on and pray with this scripture.
As we pray today, I want our focus and tilt as we interprete the scriptures to be on our children’s relationships. In verse 11 of our key text, the LORD gave an analogy of what our weekly fast and prayers do by likening it to when we bathe our babies/children and then dress them up as appropriate for the occasion, weather and convenience. Their beautiful baby/cute child look sometimes makes people get attracted to them, either to love on them, cooing and gushing all over them and also sometimes offering to carry them. Hence, our weekly assignments is not in vain because when a child is beautifully dressed, people admire such a baby/child and compliments are given and there is an attraction and so I pray that concerning our firstborns and indeed all our children by extension, we will receive a good commendation from the LORD and through the lives of impact, beauty and glory our children will lead in the name of JESUS CHRIST, only God-fearing hearts will be attracted to and gravitate towards them Amen!
LET US PRAY:
That our firstborns will be strong in the LORD and in the power of His might such that they will not be easily swayed by negative influences.That as we pray for them today, they will receive and be kitted with the mantle and armour of GOD upon their lives and destinies such that they will be able to withstand and defeat the devil in whatever form he launches an attack on them particularly in the area of their relationships.
That their waist will be girded with truth, they will be people who stand for truth always ESPECIALLY IN THE AREA OF THEIR RELATIONSHIPS, not being unequally yoked and not being with negative influences.
That they will have on the breastplate of righteousness and no guile will be found in them hence also be attracted to kindred hearts and spirits in this regard.
That they will be bearers of the good news of peace everywhere they step into and their lives will be peaceful all around.That their faith, no matter how small will move mountains and quench the fiery darts of the wicked one.
That every first born child of ours and by extension our other children will be saved and as they employ the Word of GOD, their swords of the spirit will be sharp, their understanding of scripture will be precise and deep and this will be the guiding light for their commitment to any serious relationships.
That having done all, our children will stand secure and sure at every stage of life and development! That they be blessed with sure and solid destiny-relationships in GOD.
Permit me to say this in Yoruba language, GBOGBO NNKAN TO TA KOKO NINU AYE AWON OMO WA NI JESU OLUWA WA MAA TU, AYE WON A SI GUN REGE LORUKO JESU-AMIN! This means every knotty issue in our children’s lives will be untangled and their lives and destinies will depict ease, peace and rest and all that concerns them will be straightened out in the name of JESUS CHRIST, this means that we are praying that every relationship that is complicated and negative in any sense will not thrive in our children’s lives in the name of JESUS CHRIST Amen.
To our duty posts dear mums and dads. As we pray today, may we continually persevere in our supplication to the LORD for the lives and destiny-fulfilment of our children and may we have a good reward for our labours over them in the name of JESUS CHRIST – Amen.
