Blessings beloved,
Do you desire a life of depth in and with GOD? If yes, then you want to read this through.
Today, as you and I engage our day, we are called to deeper depths in all that concern us. A shallow life, one lived on the surface, without depth, cannot be fulfilling or satisfying because there are potentials untapped and unreached and somehow, the knower inside of you recognises and would go after the more that is calling.
As we make the effort of reaching into a “deep life” in and with GOD, we will find ourselves producing more fruit. The deeper our roots go, the more fruit we will bear. Just because we are able to tap into the depth of resources available in GOD, we are enabled to “Root downward and fruit upward” like our key text today highlights for us. When a tree has deep roots, it is enabled to do many things, two out of which are:
• not be blown over by storms, and;
• handle the weight of the fruit it bears.
This means consequently for us that when we are deeply rooted and grounded in GOD, we are enabled to face adversity as well as handle the blessings and success that Abba releases to us. Our depth ensures that we don’t crash.
Going deeper in the Word! Going deeper in the place of prayer! Going deeper in our worship and reverence of GOD! Going deeper in our walk with Him are things that we must actively and deliberately pursue!
Deep calleth unto deep says the scripture in Psalm 42:7. Today, as the LORD’s deep calls to your deep, heed Him! Revelation of the Word of GOD by His Spirit takes us deeper with Him. May you and I see GOD working all things for our good as we choose to go deeper with Him, one day, one step, one decision, one act of obedience at a time Amen.
