THEME: ADVANCING INTO GREATNESS 3
TEXT: PSALM 1:1-3 KJV “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Blessings beloved parent-intercessors. I trust that we have had a great week. Welcome to the Fast Friday Prayer Altar where we pray for our firstborns and by extension our other children.
It is popularly said that people are as good as the people they surround themselves with hence it is so important for our firstborns and by extension our other children to be surrounded by the right people. Be it at home, in school, at work, in their relationships-frienďships or even professionally, our children need quality people, Godly people, people who through their interactions and contributions will cause our children to advance in life. Hence today, our assignment is to pray our children into that realm and reality.
In Genesis 2:18, the Triune Godhead opined that it is not good for man to be alone therefore he gave him a Helper comparable to him. Our children need like minded people of stature as they navigate life. Therefore today, we want to ask the Father to help our children to be blessed in this regard so they can truly advance into greatness in life.
Examples are rife in the bible of what we can desire and pray into the lives of our children regarding relationships. We see the instance of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. We see the influence Mordecai had on Esther. We also have our individual peculiarities as it concerns the situations and seasons of life that our children are presently in. It is time for us to arise and pray them into this reality.
We pray our children will be gifted with destiny-enhancing relationships by GOD their Father. May they walk, work and do life with Godly people all their days. May they never shift their roots away from the Almighty GOD, their source of watering and nourishment Amen.
Today, take time to pray the scripture above into your children’s lives and destiny journeys and let us meet at the corporate fast breaking meeting to do justice to it in one accord.
