FAST FRIDAY FOR FIRSTBORNS
FRIDAY 22ND OCTOBER 2021
THEME: CREATE IN MY FIRSTBORN A CLEAN HEART O LORD
TEXT: PSALM 51:10 “Create in me a clean heart, O GOD; and renew a right spirit within me.“
Blessings beloved parent-intercessors. Welcome to another Friday of profound prayers of intercession for our firstborns and by extension our other children. This is a call to parent intercessors to lift up their children’s destinies before the Father, asking Him FOR THEM TO LIVE A CLEAN LIFE THROUGH A RIGHT SPIRIT. Our children need to know GOD for themselves, they need to encounter, reverence and love GOD. Our children need to be continually influenced by GOD, hence the need for them to be in the presence of GOD, through our prayers, they will be changed and positively influenced and taken over by the Spirit of GOD Amen.
How do our children stay in the presence of GOD? By allowing GOD speaks to their hearts through the reading/studying of the bible, by speaking to GOD through prayer and by obedience to GOD’s Word and instructions.
A clean heart is a pure heart!
A clean heart is a heart that fears GOD and reveres Him!
A clean heart is a heart that constantly longs for the LORD like the deer pants after the waterproof, doing the will of the Father⁶.
By our fast and prayers today, as the LORD and His Spirit lives, our children are freed by knowledge of scripture to know the right paths to take. They have liberty in CHRIST JESUS. They are released to receive His love and purpose and relationship. They are no longer a slave to sin and its negative consequences.
Let us meditate on the following scriptures and be prompted and activated in the place of prayer:
Ezekiel 36:25-27 “I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.”
Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see GOD.
Psalm 51:10-13 “Create in me a clean heart, O GOD; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.”
Hebrews 10:2 “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.”
Let us therefore pray:
That our children will commit to a decision to follow JESUS all their days especially in their youthful days.
That the Holy Spirit will be our children’s guide and they in turn will yield to His leading and direction for their lives.
That the LORD will create in our children a truly clean heart, devoid of darkness and sin, that deliberately they will seek to please GOD their Father in all of their ways.
That our children will indeed possess a clean heart and right spirit that would serve them in good stead to live a victorious life. S
To our duty posts beloved parent-intercessors. May the LORD heed us as we seek His face with our prayers and fasting today Amen. Please remember to pray in the spirit as well as in your understanding as you meditate on and pray with these scriptures. Let us soak ourselves and all that the LORD has committed to us in these life-giving words.
