FAST FRIDAY FOR FIRSTBORNS
FRIDAY 21ST JANUARY 2022
THEME: FULFILLED MANDATE
TEXT: MATTHEW 14:17-20
A beautifully blessed day of overflowing blessings to you beloved parent-intercessors. Welcome to Year 2022! It’s our our first corporate fast day in the New year and we give our Father GOD thanks and praise for His goodness to us and our family. Indeed, this 21st day being the commencement of our weekly fast is no coincidence and we are assured that in this new year which the mouth if the LORD has name our year of Greater Glory, we shall be victorious on this weekly quest, our testimonies shall abound and our children shall be marvelously helped to take their place boldly, confidently and courageously in JESUS’ name Amen.
Today, we shall be asking the LORD for our firstborns and by extension our other children to fulfil their GOD-ordained mandate in life. There are gaps that each child is meant to fill destiny-wise, these gaps can only be filled by our children and no other hence our mandate today as parent intercessors is to ask the LORD for this on behalf of our children.
In our scriptural text for today, we see the case of the five loaves and two fish filling a gap, filling a need the LORD and His people had and bringing glory to the name of the LORD. This resource was provided by someone, hence we can rightly say that the one who gave up his lunch to share with all recognised that the hunger he must have felt was also felt by every other person and he decided to release it for the good of all.
Throughout today, our assignment is to pray these prayers as well as others that we will receive by the understandingof the Spirit:
FATHER, CAUSE MY FIRSTBORN TO FULFIL HIS MANDATE IN LIFE AND DESTINY.
FATHER, MAY MY FIRSTBORN NOT BE SELFISH BUT QUEST FOR THE GREATER GOOD OF ALL.
LORD, MAY MY FIRSTBORN SHOW UP ALWAYS TO FILL THE GAP HE/SHE IS MEANT TO FILL IN LIFE AND DESTINY.
FATHER, MAY MY FIRSTBORN BE ALIGNED TO YOUR PLAN AND PURPOSE IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST.
To our duty posts beloved parent-intercessors. May the LORD heed us as we call to Him for our children’s lives and destinies. Please remember to pray in the spirit as well as in your understanding as you meditate on and pray with today’s scripture. Let us soak ourselves and all that the LORD has committed to us in these life-giving words.
