FAST FRIDAY FOR FIRSTBORNS
FRIDAY 18TH JUNE 2021
THEME: WISDOM FOR LONELY ROAD TRAVEL TEXT: 1 TIMOTHY 6:12 “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”
Beautifully blessed day beloved mums, dads and parent-intercessors. We continue our Fast Friday journey this third Friday in the month of June 2021 as we give GOD thanks and praise for the good works He is continually doing in the lives anď destinies of our firstborns and by extension our other children. We are still in June, the 6th month of the year and I am praying a visitation after the order of Luke 1:26 for every family represented here every day of this month in the name of JESUS CHRIST Amen.
Today, we are praying and asking the Father for His wisdom, courage, boldness and audacity to guide our firstborns and by extension our other children especially as they get to the lonely parts on the journeys of life and destiny.
According to Dr Mensa Otabil in his book WISDOM-The Foundation And Law of GOD’s World, he described wisdom as GOD’s language that regulates life in the universe and not just something that helps you make choices.
So it is important that we pray that our children will understand this language of the Father when they get to these lonely seasons of life and as they get on the road less travelled, that GOD their Father will help them to expand in wisdom with which they will navigate successfully.
In Joshua 1:8, scripture says “This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.”
Let us pray that our firstborns and by extension our other children will fight the good fight and stand for truth as found in the word! That in those moments when they feel alone, the wisdom for that season will be made available for them to keep standing!
We want to pray for our children that in the areas where they may have made many mistakes–caving in instead of standing–as I am sure many of us have, not having the courage to stand alone, or travel down certain paths alone, we want to ask the Holy Spirit to be their travel companion always henceforth. We also want to pray for ourselves for the need to be very careful not to judge our children when they take this road less travelled or when they are making unpopular choices, but instead let us ask the Holy Spirit for discernment and grace to encourage and edify them, gently admonishing and always showing them love, understanding and acceptance.
To our duty posts beloved parent-intercessors. May the LORD heed us as we seek His face with our prayers and fasting today Amen. Please remember to pray in the spirit as well as in your understanding as you meditate on these scriptures. Let us soak ourselves and all that the LORD has committed to us in these life-giving words.
